I thought I knew this long before until you came on knocking at my door You taught me what was real and what was fake and all the different sounds that we could make. Oh, is it love that's coming after me? To mold me to the man I'm supposed to be? And all my life, I've been looking for you too Oh, is it love that's coming after me? Take away the poison from my blood and help me clean myself from all the mud. Tell me what is real and what is fake and all the different sounds that we could make. Oh, is it love chasing after me it gives me air to breathe from deep within your lungs. Justify my claim, and let's begin the game that ends with us beneath the ground.

Where will you go now that you are done? Are you happy? Now you have won. Just remember where you came from. At long last, the time has come. But I need you, I miss you, I could never walk again But don't forget me, still love me, this is where forever will begin. Don't think that you'll be leaving us all behind. You'll go on with a definite state of mind Where will you go, what will you find given the time it takes to unwind Don't look behind, be on your way, I wish you well. There's answer for every reason Just don't wait til the changing seasons Here's your compass, here's your ruler the future lies in your computer.

The Underdog 05:25
Have you ever wanted someone to believe in you? Have you ever wanted something just to hold onto when everything is wrong? Have you ever wanted to be the one to stand up and say I'm not afraid anymore? Have you ever wanted to say the things they don't want to say and be the one to be king? Well it's not easy being the underdog so you got to take advantage of the obstacles that lie ahead of you And you will get there when the time is right and you've given all your all to get through This is the time for a start, before it all falls apart don't worry what they will say, just go for what's in your heart And every day you will see, you're where you're suppose to be now just hold on tight now Love, we're coming home Have you ever wanted something that was far away? Have you ever wanted something just to give you strength to stand up and say Well I'm not gonna take this anymore don't stop me walking out the door I'm gonna go my own way, don't care what you're gonna say this is what I stand for. I'm just so tired of being last I'm just gonna go run from the past. Take every opportunity, take all that comes to me, rising to the top.

Punk Music 04:45
I'm sitting here in the city lights with my pink highlighter and a cup of joe And with the time I have right now I'd like to write down what I have to say. The days when you catch my eye with your bible in hand and your charming wit Your heart warming voice and laugh and a spirit that says you'll never quit. I feel like this could be something I'm here, don't leave me with nothing. I don't want to cower in fear, I don't feel like going home if God would let me have you, that be all I'd ever ask of him again Your always in my head and heart you have me singing songs to you I'll come by work to bring you dinner I don't have to, but it's what I want to do Let's listen to punk music and talk about when we get to heaven how we'll never feel such pain and we'll never be alone again I'm not afraid to be brave, I'm not afraid to be a man I'm not afraid to let you know I'm sitting here in the city lights with my pink highlighter and a cup of joe and with the time I have right now that's what I wanted you to hear me say.

Downtown 04:57
Mother, sit with me, I've gotta tell you everything that's going in my mind. This place was good to me, but if I don't get out I'll surly feel I'm left behind. When I feel like I've had enough of everything, will you be there for me? I'm gonna find me a way downtown where all the ones went to claim their crowns and all the jokers are summoned to lift us from the dirt I know you're worried now, and you fear for my ability for stability in this world. There's nothing left for me, I need to do this for myself before I fall too far behind.

about

Recorded at Sound Wave Productions in Charleston, SC, this is the first professional record attempt by Dylan Swinson. The title is fitting because some songs resemble a desire to be Free and then the others resembling the feeling of being alone in the world. This record is a combination of Acoustic Rock and Pop Punk.
